Planning a trip abroad, let alone in Amsterdam, should be almost as exciting as the trip itself, at least, this is the way I see it. This rule goes for booking a tour or an excursion too! It should feel simple; not stressful.
We've designed our process to be clear, flexible, and transparent. Our tours are built and given by queer people, for queer people (and allies of course!). This way, you can focus on what really matters: enjoying your trip and the preparation that surrounds it.
Step 1: Choose your tour
We offer various tours catering different groups of people and diverse needs. Start by selecting the experience that fits your plans. We guarantee you'll be in a small-group for every tour you take with us, so that we can properly connect and truly answer all the questions you may have about our dear queer Amsterdam.
If you want the tour to feel extra special or you want your travelling crew to have an even cozier experience, all of our tours can be booked privately, offering you a truly personalized experience.
Each option includes the same core elements: storytelling, history, connection, and local insight.
Our queer tours in Amsterdam
Queer City Tour – Walk through the historic center of Amsterdam while discovering the people, places, and movements that shaped LGBTQ+ life in the Netherlands. Expect powerful stories, surprising facts, and a deeper understanding of the city. Together with your own authentic queer and local tour guide. Perfect for first-time visitors.
Queer Bike Tour – The Netherlands is best explored by bike. During this tour, we cycle through beautiful landscapes just outside the city. You'll see windmills, traditional villages, and wide Dutch skies, hear stories about queer life, and learn about the real Dutch dykes in the Netherlands. A relaxed and enjoyable way to experience both the city and the typical countryside.
Queer Nightlife Tour – Amsterdam changes when the sun goes down. This tour explores queer nightlife, historic venues, and stories from decades of LGBTQ+ culture. It's perfect for visitors who want to understand the nightlife scene while learning about the people who shaped it, and spend an unforgettable night with a queer local.
Queer Cannabis Tour – A unique combination of cannabis culture and queer history. Learn about the Dutch approach to cannabis while walking through the city with a local queer guide. Expect honest conversations, surprising insights on cannabis and queer culture intersections and plenty of stories.
Queer Kids Tour – Art, adventure, and family fun in De Pijp, Amsterdam for rainbow families. Explore the famous Albert Cuyp Market with a sensory scavenger hunt, share snacks, and create art together in Sarphatipark with Shayna, queer mom, art educator, and tour guide. This 3-hour experience is designed for curious kids, their families and chosen families in a safe, welcoming space.
LGBTeam Building – Bring your team together with a queer-infused team outing in Amsterdam's historic center. Learn about queer history, pride, identity, and inclusion through shared stories and guided conversations. This easy-going, 2-hour experience helps teams connect, understand each other better, and build stronger collaboration. All in a fresh, outdoor setting with a local DE&I expert and professional storyteller. Perfect for companies, organizations, and groups who want an inclusive team experience in Amsterdam.

Frequently asked questions about our queer tours
Is the tour suitable for solo travelers?
Absolutely. Many of our guests join solo and enjoy the opportunity to connect with others.
Do I need to identify as LGBTQ+ to join?
Not at all. Allies are welcome; respect and openness are what matter.
What about accessibility?
We aim to make our tours as accessible as possible. Feel free to contact us with specific needs.
What happens if it rains?
This is Amsterdam; even though you'd be surprised at our warm sunny days, it probably will at some point. Tours run rain or shine, so we recommend dressing accordingly.
What to wear?
Well, I'd say wear whatever makes you feel confident and comfortable. I always recommend guests to dress according to the weather conditions and bring a bottle of water and sunscreen during hot days. One thing noteworthy is that a majority of Amsterdam streets are made of pebbles; which means heels might not be the best shoes to wear during most of our tours.
