We kick things off at the National Monument on Dam Square, the beating heart of Amsterdam. Look out for your queer guide holding a tiny rainbow flag (obviously!). After a warm welcome, we dive into the roots of cannabis in the Netherlands, tracing back to the revolutionary spirit of the 1960s.

Secrets, stardust & strains: let's get deep
Deeper in the heart of Amsterdam, we arrive at one of the most iconic names in the scene. A place full of stories, from the famous house cat to prestigious Hollywood ties.
Now we zoom in on what's inside the plant and answer the more technical questions: what actually matters in cannabis, and how does it interact with your body?

Freedom & responsible enjoyment
Our last stop: Amsterdam's largest coffeeshop, the only one in the Netherlands where alcohol is also on the menu. How is this possible? How do you find the right strain and setting for safe, enjoyable use? Here we celebrate freedom, knowledge, and queer community – the perfect ending to our cannabis adventure in the city of desires.

Next, we step into one of the city's oldest (and most magical) coffeeshops. Think fairytale vibes with art, music, and handcrafted details. Here, you'll discover how the cannabis movement really began. Forget the mainstream version; this is the real story behind the Dutch model.

Hash & heartbeats on the gay street
Our journey takes us to the iconic Reguliersdwarsstraat, Amsterdam's most famous gay street. 🌈 In this colorful hub, we visit LGBTQ-friendly coffeeshops where nothing is off-limits. Here, we explore hash and alternative production methods. As Mila Jansen says: "Cannabis is like wine; you're either a weed person or a hash person." Which one are you?

The bloom of knowledge, at your fingertips
Further on our journey, we visit a modern coffeeshop that breaks every stereotype, run by an unexpected force and true queer ally.
This is where we get hands-on: what should you look for in a cannabis flower? Together, we unlock the plant's secrets.

Underwater vibes & modern innovations
After exploring outer space coffeeshops, we dive into the deep blue. An underwater fantasy, where design and atmosphere transport you straight into Nemo's world: another LGBTQ-friendly gem, and one you'll never forget. We'll uncover the last alternative production method – the biggest worldwide hype in the cannabis scene today.
How it all started
Queer meets Cannabis
In April 2025, fate brought two worlds together. I (Alexander) joined one of Sanne's Queer City Tour — and something just clicked. We stayed in touch, exchanged ideas, and soon realized we shared a vision: blending my passion for cannabis with Sanne's love for queer storytelling.
The result? A brand-new experience that didn't exist before: Queer Cannabis Tours. A journey through Amsterdam that celebrates authenticity, community, and the green gold.
Meet your tour guide
My name is Alexander Green, a.k.a Queer King of Cannabis. For over a decade, I immersed myself in the cannabis world as an entrepreneur, storyteller, and passionate educator.
With over 12 years of experience as an entrepreneur in the cannabis industry, I've worked across the full spectrum of the field, from underground culture to international business. I've built brands, raised investment, and advised companies throughout Europe.
I'm also a proud gay man who found in Amsterdam the freedom to be unapologetically myself. When I first visited this city, it felt like coming home. For the first time in my life, I didn't need to meet anyone's expectations. I could just be me: colorful, real, expressive. And the more I embraced that authenticity, the more people welcomed me.
