Here, we’ll uncover the beginnings of the cannabis movement. The story is not quite what the mainstream media has told you. You’ll learn about the inventors of the Dutch cannabis structure and discover what inspired them to create an industry unlike any other. Stop 3 Our path takes us to one of the city’s most modern coffeeshops, a place that breaks stereotypes – run by someone you might not expect in this industry, and a true queer ally. This is where we get hands-on with the plant itself. Which characteristics stand out when you look at a cannabis flower? What details matter most when you analyze it up close? Together, we’ll unlock the plant’s secrets. Stop 4 Walking deeper into the vibrant heart of Amsterdam, we’ll arrive at one of the iconic names in the cannabis scene. This shop is a treasure chest of stories – from the resident house cat to connections with Hollywood’s finest. Now that we’ve explored the plant’s characteristics, we’ll move into its essence: the ingredients of cannabis. What really matters inside the flower, and how do these elements interact with the human body? Stop 5 From here, our journey leads us to the legendary gay street, the 'Reguliersdwarsstraat'. In this rainbow-colored haven, we’ll visit truly LGBTQ-friendly coffeeshops – safe spaces where you can ask anything without hesitation. Here, we’ll turn our attention to alternative production methods, diving into the world of hashes. As Mila Jansen beautifully says: 'Cannabis is like wine – you’re either a weed person or a hash person.' Which one are you? Stop 6 After exploring coffeeshops that feel like outer space, we dive into the deep blue. Our next stop is an underwater fantasy, where design and atmosphere transport you straight into Nemo’s world: another LGBTQ-friendly gem, and one that you’ll never forget. By now, we know the plant and its ingredients quite well. At this stop, we’ll uncover the last alternative production method – the biggest worldwide hype in the cannabis scene today. Stop 7 We close our journey at Amsterdam’s largest coffeeshop – the only one in the Netherlands where you can also sip an alcoholic drink. How is this possible?
